This keto pizza recipe is easily adaptable to make other things like bread sticks and other kinds of pizza. This sounds totally obvious- but all pizza recipes are adaptable since all you need to make it keto is the crust/pizza dough and to pack it in with keto-approves veggies and meats. Which is the best part!
What makes this Keto?
In the most simplest way put, keto is high protein and low carb. Oodles of healthy fats and a little bit of sugar. For those who are looking to lose a significant amount of weight, keto is a great way to change your diet. For me, I use the keto diet (in a loose way) to manage my epilepsy migraines. And it has worked like a charm. The way that this recipe is low carb (compared to something you can find at Pizza Hut) is that it is made with almond flour as opposed to all-purpose flour/wheat, and I am making it with loads of meats and cheese. All which have lots of healthy fats. For this recipe, I’m picking bacon and pork sausage (my favorite kind of sausage right now), and just loading it up with mozzarella cheese.

Keto Bacon & Sausage Pizza Recipe
Ingredients for Keto Pizza Crust
- 3/4 cup almond flour + additional tablespoons if it is still sticky!
- 1 1/2 mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tbs Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbs cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 TBS olive oil (optional)
- 1 TBS Olive oil (optional)
- 1 TBS Each: Basil, Oregano (optional)
- Optional: salt and pepper

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degreses
- In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil leaves and parsley with 1 1/2 TBS olive oil, set aside for later.
- In a medium pan, heat the cream cheese and shredded cheeses cheese at Medium-High (5-7 heat). Slowly mix the cheeses together until they melt. With a flexible spatula, fold the cheese over and over into itself until the cheese blend is flexible. Optional: add salt and pepper while melting the cheese. The cheese blend might turn into a big ball in the pan.
- Another option for melting the cheese is to put it in the microwave, and stir it halfway. But I don’t like microwaving cheese
- In a mixing bowl, add 3/4 cup almond flour and 1 egg
- Add the cheese to the bowl and start mixing the ingredients together. (There are 2 ways to do this, See Notes)
- On a cutting board or clean counter, place the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper.
- Use a dough roller to make the crust 1/3 – 1/4 inch thick
- Peel back one of the sheets of parchment paper, and put the other sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Use a fork to poke holes to prevent bubbling
- (Optional) Using a small spoon, scoop the olive oil seasoning mix and coat the keto pizza crust
- Bake 8-10 minutes, 425 degrees, until cooked all the way into the center of the dough
- While the dough is baking, cook your sausage if frozen or uncooked

Ingredients for Keto Pizza
- 3 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Kirkland Signature organic marinara sauce
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup bacon crumbles
- 3 pork sausage links, sliced into smaller pieces
Instructions
- Remove keto pizza crust from the oven and start adding your toppings!
- Pour 2/3 cup of marina or pizza sauce onto the center of the pizza crust. Use a large spoon to spread the sauce to the outer edges of the pizza.
- Sprinkle 1 to 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese
- Top with your bacon and sausage
- Add the remaining amount of cheese
- Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted

Notes

- There are 2 ways you can mix the ingredients together.
- You could use the kitchen aid mixer and the paddle to make sure the cheese, flour and egg are well whipped together and then switch to a flexible spatula to put the dough in a ball. PS. Dough Hook attachments don’t do anything for this recipe.
- You could simple use a spatula and mixing bowl and fold the ingredients into one another. Although that will take longer.
- Use parchment paper! For those of you who are not familiar with keto baking recipes, they require parchment paper to keep from burning or sticking. I learned that the hard way with this recipe, but it still turned out good.
