These low carb cheesy bread rolls are inspired by Weight Watchers’ 2-ingredient dough recipe. Their 2-ingredient recipe is one that I have seen countless times on Pinterest, so I decided to give it a shot this week! This recipe starts with equal parts of plain Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. I first saw this recipe being made for bagels in the air fryer! And later this week, I found out that this recipe is actually incredibly versatile. You can use this dough foundation to make pizza crust, bagels, sandwiches! If any of you follow WW recipes, one post said that this was a 3 point recipe….
How are these Bread Rolls Low Carb?
Because my recipe is made with Kirkland Greek yogurt, there are 18 g of protein per 2/3 cup serving. 1 cup of Greek yogurt is 1.5 x that amount = 27 g of carbs total. 8 bread rolls come out of this recipe which means 4 g protein. As you can read below in the full nutrition label, there are 13 g of carbs per 1 roll!

Ways they can end up not “Low Carb”
Like with any bread recipe, you might end up using more flour than the recipe you find. If you use 1 cup and have to add more flour because the dough is still sticky- then that of course increases the carbs…. If you add cheese or ay other seasoning with carbs, then carb count goes up! But that is okay- you can make these as plain or as zingy as you want! See the possible ingredients to add zing to these rolls. BONUS- you can’t tell when you make them super plain! EXTRA BONUS- With the 1:1 cup ration for the ingredients, these are only 74 calories!

Add Some Zing to Low Carb Cheesy Bread Rolls
- Total 4 TBS Parmesan cheese
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Butter
- Minced garlic (not in this post)
- Other sort of cheese
- Any other sort of seasoning to match your meal!

Recipe for Low Carb Cheesy Bread Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup of plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup of self-rising flour
- 1 Egg
- Optional Additions to add zing!
Add Zing!
- Total 4 TBS Parmesan cheese (this recipe)
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Butter
- Minced garlic (not in this post)
- Other sort of cheese
- Any other sort of seasoning to match your meal!
Instructions
- Pour the 1 cup of Greek yogurt
- Slowly add the flour and stir until fully mixed
- Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead with hands until you can form a ball. If still sticky- see Notes below.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces

- Add Parmesan cheese to the small balls of dough
- Transfer to a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Preheat Air fryer to 350- run at 350 for 10 minutes
- Make an egg wash by blending an egg and adding a small amount of water- about 1/2 TBS
- Coat the rolls with the egg wash
- Optional: Top rolls with more cheese, salt and pepper
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Check after 15 minutes.
- Let cool 5 minutes before enjoying

- Cream Cheese (if you turned these into bagels!)

Notes & Nutrition Estimate
- If the dough is still sticky, slowly add flour to the dough. Usually 1/2 TBS at a time is helpful.
- Gently roll the dough. This dough recipe is not like other dough recipes that use normal flour.
- You might want to try rubbing your palms in olive oil to prevent the dough sticking to your hands
