These sugar-free chocolate chip cookies are a perfect substitute for the Tollhouse recipe! In fact, this one even turned out BETTER! Normally, I use the recipe that is on the back of the Tollhouse chocolate chips bag, but frankly that calls for so much sugar! It makes sense that you have to blend the sugars and butter to cream a soft and fluffy cookie that is incredibly sweet, but what about us low carb dieters? I managed to make easy substitutes that made these cookies actually better than the Tollhouse cookie recipe! Was that even possible? While this cookie recipe isn’t low carb– and this blog isn’t all about only low carb recipes- sugar substitutes do “save” on carbs. I am still experimenting with almond flour and coconut flour, but I hope to come up with a recipe using one of those flours to make it truly low carb!
Where Did I Get My Sugar Substitutes?
Why, Thrive Market of course. The first time that I bought my Swerve sugar substitutes were on Amazon- the trio of sugars for $22(?). They are separately $14 each on Amazon and $8 each on Thrive Market. It just makes sense to buy it from Thrive Market and take advantage of my annual membership. I also bought Lily’s Sweets Chocolate Chips. They are sweetened with Stevia- another common sugar substitute.
