Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients

  • Chicken bones and skin
  • 2 big carrots mine were frozen
  • 2 celery ribs
  • 2 small onions or 1 big one
  • 1 whole garlic bulb
  • 2 tbs Salt
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • Water about 6 cups
  • 1 tbsp pepper kernals

Instructions

  • Set the bones and skin on the bottom of crockpot
  • Break two big carrot sticks in half and lay them on top of the bones, do that again with the celery ribs. The chicken bones and fat will be “stuck at the bottom” of everything- nothing will float up and move around. Toss in 2 small onions, garlic bulb, salt, pepper and bay leaves
  • Covered ingredients with water.
  • Put the crock pot on HIGH and let it do the rest.

Notes

Set up a "station" near the sink so that you can use the hose to fill it with water. Adding water last makes it easier to add the bones, the seasonings, and the veggies before cooking.
